Bol Run

Having recently finished my HNC in Game Development at West College Scotland, I am now experienced in various skills such as coding in C# and using Unity to make games.

Because of this my son now thinks I am a famous game developer, on par with the likes of Hideo Kojima and Shigeru Miyamoto and asked me to make a game with him to share with his friends. 

 I asked him what kind of game he wanted to make, expecting to be spending my summer trying to remake Minecraft or Fortnite but to my surprise he chose Dinosaur Game, the offline Google browser infinite runner. 

I set him up with Aseprite to let him crate his own game assets and assumed I would have to adjust his final designs to work with the game mechanics, surprisingly I had to do very little to make them work.

I used Photoshop to create the logo and background assets, everything else was done by him.

The game is basic due to the nature of the gameplay, I may come back to it at some point to change the game mechanics but for now its complete and the most important part for me... my son can now tell his friends he made a mobile game and share it with them :)
